A220 Barrel Assembly Jig

This large project involved the design and manufacture of a bespoke jig for the assembly of A220 aircraft, helping to automate the process to increase efficiencies and productivity.

We were able to manufacture this assembly jog entirely in-house, creating a solution that moves the aircraft barrels towards the wing root where they will then be riveted together. Thanks to our wide-ranging capabilities, we were not only involved in the engineering of this impressive application, but we also carried out all factory acceptance testing and CE documentation.
